  Advice, guidance and support in the procurement of Consultants under OJEC procurement rules for three year framework agreements and introducing the concept of employing Consultants on the basis of priced activity schedules.

Description of Facility:   Build, extend and re-new various University facilities over the next three years.

 

Identified Risks:  
Falling foul of OJEC procurement rules and procedures.
Selecting Consultants on the basis of best value rather than lowest price.
Consultants unfamiliarity with the mechanisms of the NEC Professional Services Contract.
Consultants being more familiar with their appointment being on the basis of a percentage fee.

Project Team more used to working with traditional JCT Forms of Contract.
Participants unfamiliar with the use of Priced Activity Schedules.
Project Team more familiar with assessing implications of change after an instruction issued rather than before.
